Galaxy S26 Ultra to get a big ram boost

Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra is set to launch in early 2026 with a major upgrade that fans have been waiting for: more RAM. According to a report from Macquarie Research, shared by tipster Jukanlosreve, the entire Galaxy S26 series—base, Plus, and Ultra—will come with 16GB of RAM.

This is a step up from the Galaxy S25 series, where only some S25 Ultra models in markets like Korea and China had 16GB, while others stuck with 12GB. The extra RAM will make the S26 Ultra better at handling on-device AI tasks, multitasking, and keeping more apps open at once.

As AI features become more common, this boost will help the phone run smoothly and stay future-proof. Meanwhile, the same report suggests Apple’s iPhone 18, also launching in 2026, will likely stick with 12GB of RAM, giving Samsung an edge in memory.

However, there’s a catch. Rumors hint that the S26 Ultra might be the last Galaxy flagship to include the S Pen, as Samsung has already scaled back its features in the S25 Ultra. Fans hoping for a stylus may need to act fast. The Galaxy S26 series is expected to debut in February 2026, so stay tuned for more details as the launch gets closer.
