Samsung’s Galaxy AI, which powers cool features like photo editing and video slow-motion, has been free for Galaxy smartphone users since its launch. However, rumors suggest this could change in 2026, with Samsung possibly charging for these tools.

A tipster recently claimed Galaxy AI might stay free forever, but earlier reports hinted at a paid model starting next year. Samsung has said the features will remain free until the end of 2025, leaving users wondering what happens after that.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Z Flip FE, expected in July 2025, might come with free Galaxy AI features for good, according to a leak from PandaFlashPro. These devices could also include a six-month free trial of Google’s Gemini Advanced, which offers 2TB of cloud storage.

Samsung’s plan seems to be keeping its own AI features free while possibly charging for advanced third-party tools like Gemini. Nothing is confirmed yet, and Samsung is still figuring out its strategy.

For now, users can enjoy Galaxy AI without paying, but the company might be waiting to see how many people use it before deciding on a price. Fans hope Samsung keeps these features free, as they’ve become a big part of the Galaxy experience. More details might come at the Galaxy Unpacked event in July 2025.
