Samsung Health App gets exciting new features
Samsung is upgrading its Health app with cool new tools to help you track your wellness better, especially with the One UI 8 Watch update. These features, some still in testing, aim to make staying healthy easier and more personalized for Galaxy users.
One new tool, the Antioxidant Index, checks beta carotene levels in your body using your Galaxy Watch. By pressing your thumb against the watch, it scans your skin to measure this nutrient found in foods like carrots and spinach, giving diet tips to boost your health. Another feature, Bedtime Guidance, helps you create a better sleep routine with personalized advice.
The Running Coach offers tailored tips to improve your runs, while Vascular Load tracks heart strain for a clearer picture of your heart health. These tools are being tested in the app’s “Labs” section and may need newer devices like the Galaxy Watch 8, expected in July 2025.
Samsung might add a paid plan for advanced features, similar to Fitbit or Garmin, but basic tracking like steps and sleep will likely stay free. Not all devices will support every new tool, so check your device’s compatibility.
To get these updates, open the Galaxy Store, search for Samsung Health, and hit update. These changes show Samsung’s focus on making health tracking smarter and more helpful for everyone.
