Samsung Wallet is getting a major update that makes it more than just a payment app. This new version, rolling out in July 2025 for Galaxy devices with One UI 7 or later, adds exciting features to simplify your digital life.

You can now store digital IDs like mobile driver’s licenses in six U.S. states: Iowa, Arizona, Georgia, Colorado, Maryland, and West Virginia. This means you can carry your ID securely on your phone, perfect for quick access at airports or other ID checks.

The update also brings Tap to Transfer, letting you send money to friends or family by tapping your phone against theirs or a debit card. It works with Visa and Mastercard and even supports Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, making it super convenient.

For commuters, Tap to Ride now supports more transit cards, like OMNY in New York and T-money in South Korea, so you can pay for rides with a quick tap. Samsung has also teamed up with Splitit to offer installment payments in select U.S. states.

This lets you split big purchases into smaller payments without a credit check, making shopping easier. From IDs to payments and transit, Samsung Wallet is becoming a one-stop app for your daily needs, all while keeping your data safe.
