Samsung has shared exciting news about its One UI 8 update, based on Android 16, which will make Galaxy phones smarter and easier to use. The update will first launch with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9, 2025. Right now, only Galaxy S25 users can try it through a beta program, but more devices will get it soon.

One UI 8 focuses on improving Galaxy AI, adding features like Now Bar and Now Brief for quick updates on your lock screen. It also makes sharing files faster with Quick Share and improves apps like My Files, Samsung Internet, and DeX for a smoother experience. The Reminder and Calendar apps now have handy templates and holiday settings to stay organized.

Plus, security gets a boost with Samsung Knox Vault, keeping your data safe. Galaxy A series phones, like the Galaxy A56, will also get One UI 8, bringing AI tools and six years of major updates.

Samsung plans to roll out the stable version to flagship devices like the Galaxy S24 and older foldables after the foldables’ launch. A One UI 8.5 update might follow in early 2026 with new flagship phones. Stay tuned for more details as Samsung expands the beta to more regions and devices.

Samsung is gearing up to launch One UI 8, and it’s set to impress with some exciting updates, especially for lock screen fans. Based on Android 16, this software update will debut with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 in July 2025 at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event in Brooklyn, New York.

While Samsung is keeping most features under wraps, a recent leak has revealed a standout addition: a fresh lock screen clock style. It’s part of Samsung’s push to make personalization better, building on the customization options from One UI 7.

The clock blends seamlessly with your chosen background, making your lock screen feel unique and stylish. Whether you love tweaking your phone’s look or keeping things simple, this feature adds a modern touch without clutter.

One UI 8 also promises other upgrades, like smoother animations and smarter AI tools, though details are still scarce. The beta program is already live for Galaxy S25 users, with a stable release expected soon after the foldables launch. For now, the focus is on making your lock screen pop with this dynamic clock. Samsung Galaxy S23

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series is set to get a performance upgrade with the upcoming One UI 8.0 update, based on Android 16. While users are waiting for the beta program, Samsung is already working on the final version for older flagship phones.

Recent Geekbench tests showed the Galaxy S23 Plus running an early One UI 8.0 build, scoring 1986 in single-core and 5191 in multi-core tests. These numbers are slightly higher than One UI 7 scores, which were around 1900 and 5000, respectively. The stable release is expected to improve these results further.

Samsung launched the One UI 8.0 beta for the Galaxy S25 series on May 28, 2025, and has since released two beta updates. The second update, rolled out on June 12, fixed issues like text alignment, battery icons, and fingerprint recognition.

It also added a feedback option for the interpreter tool. The beta program might expand to the Galaxy S23 and S24 series in July, but Samsung hasn’t confirmed this yet. The official release is likely to happen in the third quarter of 2025.

One UI 8.0 will bring smoother performance, better AI features, and improved security to the Galaxy S23 series. With Samsung’s focus on optimizing software, this update promises a faster and more reliable experience for users.
