Samsung is getting ready to roll out its One UI 8 update, based on Android 16, for the Galaxy S24 and S23 series. The company has been testing this update internally to make sure it runs smoothly. The Galaxy S25 series already got the One UI 8 beta in late May 2025, and now the S24 and S23 are next in line for testing.

Recent reports show that Samsung has stable test versions ready for both the S24 and S23 series. For the S23 Ultra, a test build (S918BXXS8DYF1) was spotted for global and European models. This suggests the beta program for these devices might start soon, possibly by the end of June 2025.

The stable version of One UI 8 will first launch with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 in July 2025, followed by the S25 series in August. The S24 and S23 series should get the update in the third quarter of 2025, with older models and mid-range devices following in the fourth quarter.

One UI 8 brings smoother animations, small design tweaks, and better camera features like log video recording. It also improves apps like Samsung Health and Game Booster for a better user experience. Samsung is working hard to bring this update to many devices, keeping its promise to support its Galaxy lineup.
