Galaxy Z Fold 7

Exciting news about Samsung’s upcoming foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7, has just surfaced! These devices, set to launch at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9, promise impressive upgrades. Leaked information from reliable sources, including Evan Blass, gives us a sneak peek at what to expect.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 will sport a sleek, modern look with a larger 4-inch cover screen that supports full app use, similar to the Motorola Razr Ultra. Its main 6.9-inch display is brighter, hitting 2,600 nits, and the phone is slimmer and lighter. It also boasts a bigger 4,300mAh battery, a 50MP main camera, a 12MP selfie camera, and the new Exynos 2500 chip for better performance.

Plus, it supports DeX for a desktop-like experience. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is equally exciting, with a super-thin design—only 3.9mm when unfolded and 8.2mm when folded. It features a larger 8.2-inch inner screen and a 6.5-inch outer display, both with smaller bezels.

The device includes a 200MP main camera, an upgraded under-display camera, and a 4,400mAh battery. It runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and comes with One UI 8 for a smoother experience.

One UI 8

Samsung has rolled out the third One UI 8 beta update for the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra, bringing users in select regions closer to the final Android 16 experience. This update, weighing around 800MB, focuses on fixing bugs and boosting performance for a smoother user experience.

The new beta, with firmware ending in ZYFB, is available in countries like the US, UK, Germany, India, South Korea, and Poland. It tackles issues from earlier betas, improving app stability, especially for the camera, and enhancing overall system reliability. Users can expect fewer glitches and better performance in daily tasks.

Samsung also added minor tweaks, like improved animations and refined Galaxy AI features, to make the interface feel more polished. To join the beta, Galaxy S25 owners in supported regions can sign up through the Samsung Members app.

However, the update is exclusive to the S25 series for now, with no word on when older devices like the Galaxy S24 or S23 will get it. Samsung seems to be fast-tracking One UI 8, as a stable version with firmware BYFB was recently spotted, hinting at a possible release soon after the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9, 2025.

One UI 8 Watch

Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 8 Watch beta update for the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra in the United States and South Korea. This update, based on Wear OS 6, brings exciting new health-focused features to help users stay fit and healthy.

The update includes tools like Bedtime Guidance, which suggests the best time to sleep based on your daily routine, and Vascular Load, which tracks stress on your heart during sleep. There’s also a Running Coach that offers personalized tips and real-time advice to improve your runs, but it’s only available on the Galaxy Watch 7 and newer models.

Another feature, the Antioxidant Index, measures healthy aging markers using the watch’s sensors, though it’s exclusive to the Galaxy Watch Ultra. Only select Galaxy Watch models, starting from the Galaxy Watch 5 series, can join the beta program.

Sadly, the Galaxy Watch 4 series won’t get this update. If you’re in the U.S. or South Korea and own a compatible watch, you can sign up through the Samsung Members app, but spots are limited.

Older compatible watches will get the stable update later, likely in late July or August. This update shows Samsung’s focus on improving health tracking for its smartwatch users.

One UI 8 Watch

Samsung is rolling out the One UI 8 Watch Beta Program, giving users a sneak peek at new features for Galaxy Watches. Based on Wear OS 6.0, this update will first appear on the Galaxy Watch 8 series next month. Before the official release, Samsung is opening the beta to select users with Galaxy Watch 5 or newer models in the US and South Korea.

The beta introduces four health-focused features: Antioxidant Levels, Bedtime Guidance, Running Coach, and Vascular Load. These are already showing up in the latest Samsung Health app (version 6.30.2.027) on devices like the Galaxy S23 Ultra running One UI 7.0.

However, not all features work on every watch. For example, Vascular Load is exclusive to the upcoming Galaxy Watch 8 or higher, while Running Coach requires a Galaxy Watch 7 or Ultra for its running test.

To join the beta, users in the US or South Korea can use the Samsung Members app on their paired Galaxy phone. Log in with the same Samsung account as your watch, find the One UI 8 Watch Beta banner, and sign up.
