Samsung Tri-Fold

Samsung’s upcoming tri-fold phone, likely named the Galaxy G Fold, is creating buzz with its innovative design. According to a recent report, this device will start production in September and hit the market in late 2025. It boasts a 10-inch OLED screen, perfect for multitasking, and runs on a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.

The camera setup is impressive, featuring a 200MP main camera, similar to the expected Galaxy Z Fold 7, along with a 12MP ultrawide, a 10MP telephoto, and a 10MP selfie camera. However, its battery might be smaller than the HUAWEI Mate XT’s 5,600mAh, which could affect usage time.

The phone’s availability may be limited to China and South Korea, disappointing fans elsewhere. Priced at around $2,930, it’s a premium device due to its complex design and high-end components. Samsung plans to produce it on a small scale to test market interest, with a possible sneak peek at the July 9 Unpacked event.

The company will start making OLED panels in August to support this launch. While the Galaxy G Fold promises cutting-edge technology, its high cost and limited release might make it a tough choice for some. For those excited, reserving a Galaxy device now offers $50 credit and a chance to win $5,000. Stay tuned for more details.

New trade deal helps Samsung keep phone prices steady

A recent trade agreement between the United States and Vietnam has brought good news for Samsung’s mobile phone business. The company makes about 60% of its 220 million phones each year in Vietnam, with most shipped to the U.S., where Samsung holds a 20% share of the smartphone market.

Earlier, a steep 46% tariff proposed by President Donald Trump threatened to raise costs, which could have forced Samsung to increase phone prices or lose ground to competitors like Apple. Thankfully, the new deal cuts the tariff to 20%, offering temporary relief.

This means Samsung can likely keep Galaxy phone prices stable for now, avoiding major price hikes that would hit U.S. customers. “This is a big win for both countries,” Trump shared on Truth Social after talks with Vietnam’s leader, To Lam.

Industry experts agree, with one saying, “The 20% tariff is much better than expected.”However, challenges remain. The U.S. also set a 40% tariff on goods shipped through Vietnam from other countries, which could affect Samsung’s supply chain.

To prepare, Samsung shipped its Galaxy S25 series to the U.S. early and may shift production of future phones, like the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, to countries with lower tariffs, such as India. While this deal softens the blow, potential future tariffs on specific items like smartphones or chips could still pose risks for Samsung and its customers.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Series

A recent report shares exciting details about the camera setup for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, expected to launch in early 2026. The phone is likely to keep the same telephoto camera as the Galaxy S25 Ultra, featuring a 50MP sensor for one of its zoom lenses.

This news follows earlier rumors suggesting Samsung might use a 200MP telephoto sensor, but it seems at least one of the two telephoto cameras will stick with the 50MP setup. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is also expected to carry over the 50MP ultrawide camera introduced in the S25 Ultra last year.

Additionally, the main rear camera will likely remain a 200MP sensor, similar to its predecessors. While these choices might disappoint fans hoping for major upgrades, Samsung appears to be focusing on refining existing technology rather than overhauling it.

Details about the second telephoto sensor are still unclear, leaving room for speculation about potential improvements. The Galaxy S26 Ultra’s camera system is shaping up to be a strong contender, building on the success of previous models.

As the launch date nears, more leaks are expected to clarify the full picture of this flagship’s capabilities. Samsung fans can look forward to a device that balances familiar features with possible tweaks to enhance performance. Stay tuned for updates as we get closer to the official reveal.
